Probably most people would keep it in a certain room, but it might not be the same room someone else keeps it in. Like a deck of cards for instance. also I am sure that lots of people do not have one of these.

some are plastic, some are metal, olden days, I think they were all metal

Your clues from usually kept in a certain room and usually plastic or metal and mostly metal from the old days...thats what came to mind~!!!!! Thanks and great object as well
