I've fixed it. Are you using the non-Java games? And if so, FWIW, if you can use the Java games, I'd recommend using them until I get the DHTML games finished.
I also have a spurious resignation. There's a legitimate one .. http://www.pocket-monkey.com/game.jsp?instance=1348044&histTurnNo=788 .. followed immediately by another resignation costing 3 points.
Thanks :-)
ps. I've been using the DHTML version. That's because on my Win XP's Firefox declared Java a security risk and disabled it (I've just updated it) and on my new Win 7 system I haven't installed Java yet (and don't particularly want to).
I've corrected the score in that game. Please write to us immediately if you notice this happen, because it's much more work to fix once turns have been played (50 or so in this case) than it is right away. If this hadn't been a tournament game, I wouldn't have corrected it; I'd've just marked it as non-rated so it didn't count toward stats.
If you have the option of using Java (and on Windows 7, you do), please use it. The experimental non-Java games are just that, experimental, and they have various issues. You can download Java 6 (don't install Java 7) from here.
If you completely uninstall Java and then install Java 6, it should work. You may have to look in your browser settings to see if the browser is disabling Java for some reason, but that's the only thing I can think of. -- T.J. Crowder First Primate Pocket-Monkey.com

Still not working. I have a 64 bit system but using Firefox. I installed 64 bit Java 6.
Sorry, I don't know what the problem might be. "won't" work how? I've used Java 6 on 64-bit systems just fine, both Windows and Linux. I mostly use Chrome, but I've definitely used Firefox as well. -- T.J. Crowder First Primate Pocket-Monkey.com

"I've used Java 6 on 64-bit systems just fine.."
You don't say which Java 6 works on a 64 bit system.
Is it 64 bit Java or 32 bit Java?
I naturally assumed it was 64 bit Java, but since Firefox is only a 32 bit program, I'm wondering if I should be installing 32 bit Java instead of 64 bit Java.
You don't say which Java 6 works on a 64 bit system.

If your browser is a 32-bit program, according to java.com you need the 32-bit version of Java, even on a 64-bit operating system. If your browser is a 64-bit program, you need the 64-bit version.
No Java enabled games
Yes, but what does that look like? Do you see a message that Java isn't installed and PM needs Java? Do you see a black square where the games should be? A broken plug-in graphic? A grey square? A pop-up message saying "No games for you!" Dancing elves? ;-)
It's important to remember that while nearly all of the code in Pale Moon is Mozilla's code, Pale Moon is not Firefox. It's very, very like Firefox, but it isn't Firefox.
Unless you're a technologist and/or developer, I'd stick with the official, stable, released Firefox builds for now -- which means 32-bit.
If your are a technologist and/or developer, this siteclaims to host "official" 64-bit builds of Firefox from the "nightly" builds of the project. But as there is no 64-bit build for Windows listed on Mozilla's own nightly build download page, I'm not entirely sure what that first site means by "official." Nightly builds are not stable releases, they're the overnight build of the current in-development version, and so suited only for testing. The odds are that at any given time, something is broken in a nightly build. That's why we have releases.
Remember that no 32-bit plug-ins will work with a 64-bit build, so you need to be sure your favorite plug-ins (Flash, Java, etc.) are available in 64-bit versions and that they work correctly.
Or, of course, just keep using the official 32-bit version and get the 32-bit version of Java.
Pale Moon is an end-user program and doesn't require any technical expertise whatsoever compared to Firefox. I've given it to my sister who is very computer-challenged. For instance she doesn't know what the Windows Taskbar is and thinks that a program has gone simply because its window is behind another. Despite such gaps in her knowledge, she's as happy browsing with Pale Moon as with Firefox.
Does resigning a game of backgammon while playing. Mean the whole whole match or just that game. I was thinking just the game. I was 4 wins too 1 loss. Now I'm at 4 too 5. Lost the match
The way resign works is that it resigns the appropriate number of points. That means a basis of 1, 2 or 3 points depending on the position. That number of points will then be multiplied by the cube value if it's in use.
You must be out of your opponent's home table or it'll be the 3 point basis. You must have taken a man off the board or it'll be a 2 point basis.
That said, if you are using Pockey-Monkey with the browser set to DHTML mode (non-Java) then you shouldn't resign at all because it cannot be trusted. It will resign the game as intended but it will then sometimes resign the next game as well. It's a bug that will not be fixed.
