I have had a request to change the time limits for the ladder days to make them greater than 3 days.
The rules state that the game must be a 3 day game. This rule was created to increase the speed in which the games are played as people in a ladder like to see progress.
Having said that however, I do not mind if you and your opponent agree that you can have the time limit changed in the game. So long as the game was initially created with a 3 day limit and both players agree to change, I have no problem with this at all.
If you are someone who wants to change the time limit in your game but your opponent chooses not to, remember that your opponent has the right to his/her decision and please respect that decision.
One last method that you may use is, for example someone is going on a holiday one weekend and requests the time limit be changed to accommodate this. Both parties can agree to change the time limit temporarily but upon the agreed date of return, the game must be changed back to a 3 day limit.
