I've reset the timeout on all games and re-enabled timeouts. That means that if a game had a seven-day timeout, its "must move by" date is now seven days from today (not seven days from the last move).
There are definitely some well-established players who have gone missing from the site during the past few weeks of various disasters around the world. I'm sure in most, or indeed nearly all, cases they just got new, more demanding jobs, or had a computer crash, or decided to spend less time online, etc. I hope so, anyway. -- T.J. Thank you for fixing the time out thing I've been gone almost 2 months and things are a mess here from Katrina .... I am a nurse here helping out here and guess what I'll be here for a year or 2 ..... so hopfully I'll get to play my games ...but then another hurricane is coming Wilma ...later thren and again thank you
Glad you're all right! You'll probably want to use the "Change time limit" on the game page (under the board) to change them to 90 day timeouts or something -- I'm sure your opponents will understand and agree.
