The first seven tournaments on Pocket-Monkey have started. Good luck to all in your games!
This is a big moment for Pocket-Monkey, both those of us running the place and the hundreds of players who have stuck with us while we didn't have tournaments. Thank you all for being here, and we hope you enjoy yourselves!
(The Chess tournament still doesn't have enough players to start yet so that one's waiting for the moment...)
Enjoy your tourney games! -- T.J. Crowder First Primate Pocket-Monkey.com
would like to wish Pockey-Monkey the best of luck with the first tournaments here. and to thank you all for the hard work you have done to make this day. Its been a long wait but I know your work is top of the line and you do a good job. Looking forward to many more days with Pocket-Monkey, and the tournaments, and all good things to come to this site, . want to wish all tournament palyers the best of luck too.
great information, tips, and time gone into the set up. really nice how u explained the reason for time limits... always got to look at the big picture..
hopefully fast tourneys also proves who don't use other means to win their games.... kinda hard to get a puter program to help when we are playing turns almost instantly...
Sure! Click on the link for the tourney (from your Current Games page, or from the Tournaments page) and scroll down. You'll see the sections listed there. Click the "[Show Games for Section]" link to see a grid of the games going on in that section, including a column on the right which shows how each player is doing.
great site - love how it works - having fun w/the tourneys - thanks one pint for referring me and thanks TJ for providing such a good site.

First I like to say thanks guys for all of your hard work here for all of us. I like to say thanks to the one who made it possible for me too see things better now. I love the colors too. froggy2
They are great! Of course, I'm just making the first moves in mine...but I can tell already they will be great. :-)
Of course, joining just two tourneys gives you a lot of new games at a time! So I find myself placing a LOT of ships in RadarWar Salvo games, and making a bunch of opening moves in Backgammon. So many that I copied the text "hi and gl!" to my clipboard so all I have to do is hit Ctrl-V to paste it into each game as I start. :-)
LOL I have to do that too, since I tend to greet new players (many of you will have seen my "Welcome, and good luck!").
In fact, you've touched on one of my medium-term enhancements on the "to do" list: Customizable buttons near the message area you can use to insert your usual comments, like "GG", "Thanks", smileys, etc.
