Hi folks,

Normally we start tournaments on a Sunday, but we put the wrong date in the July tournaments, so they'll be starting tomorrow...

...except for the one we started before we realised that we'd got the date wrong, the July07 Standard BG tournament. Since it's a "Standard" tournament, it has long timeouts, so even if you weren't expecting to play until tomorrow, there's no problem, your games in that tourney won't time out between now and then.

Note: Some of the tourneys need more players! Sign up today or wait for August!

Enjoy your (tourney) games!

Hi,

In general, it's best to start your own thread (in this case, probably in the Checkers forum) rather than replying in a thread that's about something else. Starting a new topic in an existing thread is called "hijacking" the thread and is generally frowned upon in message forums here and elsewhere.

When we do a new batch of tournies, we only do tournies that aren't still open for signup from last time because they didn't have enough players. When we did the September tournies, the August Ultrafast Checkers had only just got enough players and hadn't started yet (it has now), so we didn't do one for September. There'll be one in October.

Hope this helps,
