The Backgammon game is now using a minor form of turn notation for the turn history rather than just "Player 1" and "Player 2", which was -- um -- less than informative. This new notation is only used on turns taken after I did the update (very roughly 11:30 p.m. GMT).
The new notation is not the standard Backgammon notation, not yet. The room we have reserved in the system for turn notation is not large enough for proper Backgammon notation, which (in some cases) can be fairly long. At some point, I'll fix that and use proper notation, but in the meantime at least the new stuff makes it a lot easier to figure out what's going on in a game.
Some samples of the new notation:
P1:LostRll Player 1 lost the opening roll. (This only happens on Turn 1.)
P1:Play 15 Player 1 played a 1,5 roll.
P2:Roll Player 2 rolled the dice (this is in a match game, when the player chose Roll rather than Double at the Roll/Double question).
P1:Double Player 1 offered a double.
P2:Accept Player 2 accepted a double.
P1:Decline Player 1 declined a double. (This also means Player 2 won that game.)
P1:Win Player 1 won a game (not a gammon or backgammon).
P2:Gammon Player 2 won a gammon.
P1:BGammon Player 1 won a backgammon.
P2:Pass Player 2 was blocked and passed his/her turn.
P2:Pass+ Player 2 was blocked and passed his/her turn and told the system to keep passing his/her turn until he/was wasn't blocked anymore (the plus sign at the end).
P1:WinMtch Player 1 won the match.
This should make things a lot easier to read in the short term. In the long term, we will add proper notation at some point.
