As I mentioned over here, we're experimenting with new ad networks because neither of the other things we were using (Google AdSense and Amazon ads) were working well.
Yesterday an inappropriate ad appeared on the site for a while, promoting extra-marital affairs. Now, while it was fairly tame, it was completely inappropriate for Pocket-Monkey. As soon as I heard about it, I banned it.
If you see an ad you think is inappropriate for Pocket-Monkey, please drop us a note and we'll jump on it.
If this kind of thing happens with any kind of frequency, we'll drop the new ad network. It's not working well anyway, but I wanted to give it time to bed in, in hopes it would. There are also some settings I can tweak, but they're fairly coarse-grained, and I have a suspicion (which I'm following up) that they wouldn't have helped in this case anyway...
Good to hear that you've got an eye out for the inappropriate ads, you never know if children are playing on here. Keep up the good work, and we'll let you know.

I have been very concerned about ads where creatures claiming to be monkeys are offering to perform some unspecified "work" for me, with a wink in their eyes...Can we get that taken care of?
Interestingly, the ad network people have gotten back to me, and they feel the ad didn't even meet the criteria of the next (more permissive) level of filters we could use, much less the ones we are using, and have...discussed...it with the advertiser in question. So you never know, perhaps it was a blip.
