We were offline for about 7.5 hours day today, sorry about that! Timeouts are off for a day or two so people can catch up.
What happened was that one of the hard disks in our main server failed and we had to replace it. That sounds dramatic, but don't worry, your games were always safe. :-) We have redundant disks running in parallel so that if one disk fails, the data is safe on the other disks; we just have to take the time to replace the bad disk and sync the data to it. (We also have multiple off-site backups, updated automatically every few minutes, in case something goes really wrong.)
All's well now. (Though I can't say I'm happy with the response time from the data center folks. It shouldn't take over five and a half hours to get a disk replaced!)
Exactly, i actually had to do some work here today when i couldnt play earlier...LOL :)) Such a great site with such great people taking care of it and us~!!!! Keep it up TJ
