We've had a large number of new members join the site this week (welcome, everyone!) at least in part because of the trouble over at itsyourturn.com, and the site's starting to feel the strain! :-) We've been growing lately anyway and it was just about time, so: If I can get the vendor moving quickly enough, I'll be adding some power to the site this weekend.
This means the site will be down briefly some time in the next couple of days, and then probably for 3-5 hours early Sunday or Monday morning UK time (again, provided the vendor can get me the equipment that fast). So if you come by and Pocket-Monkey's not here, don't worry, we'll be right back (as the saying goes)...
I know this'll be a bit tough on those of you who are here "getting your fix"! But trust me, we won't be gone for long and it'll be that much nicer when we get back. :-)

I'm new to this site and i would just like to say this is a brilliant games site i've tried alot over the last few days since IYT went down but i will be staying here its great.

Just kidding with ya! Glad to hear you are taking a lesson from those less fortunate. I too am a newbie addict left destitute after the IYT crash but I am really liking this site already and plan to stay for a long time yet!
P.S. Thankyou to the few members I have met in the last couple of days that have made my initiation such a pleasant one. Top site and lovely members. Keep up the good work!
i have been here for a while and been at iyt. iyt will be back next week. just as it was. this site is as good as iyt. but while its been down i have been here, and i enjoy playing games here. i love pocketmonkey, and will miss it while its down, but i am patient. thanks for the info.

hey TJ your handling the pressure well, the games are still as good, i just wonder how many people have joined in the last week, bet it plenty. IYT will be losing a lot of members i am sure, you and your fellow helpers are doing great
The site was down for an hour just now as the vendor installed some hardware in a server for us. This is that first step I mentioned "might happen in the next couple of days". :-) The vendor's being really good and jumping on things for us.
So that will probably happen a second time in a couple of days, so we're still on track for the bigger maintenance interval Sunday or Monday morning (UK time) to do the last bit of it. I'll keep you posted! -- T.J. Crowder First Primate Pocket-Monkey.com

The site was down for about 30 minutes just now, this was Step 2 of 3 in the beefing up plan. Apologies if it was down at an inconvenient time; unfortunately, the vendor doesn't schedule it with me. (To be fair, they're happy to schedule it -- but with five days' warning. I figured we'd all like to relieve the server of its strain sooner rather than later...)
Yep, that was why. Hope we didn't keep you waiting too long. ;-)

hey TJ your site is still the best around i have met lots of hooked IYT`s (myself included) that have been going round and round like headless chickens for their gaming fixes, i was lucky i found your great site a long time ago and i just know i can get the games i want anytime, keep up the great work
Looks like (after a fair bit of prodding) we've got what we need from the vendor, so I'm configuring away. This won't affect the live site until I take it down to add in the additional stuff. When IYT went down alot of us were wondering around like idiots wondering what to do (we are a sad lot) I had used your site awhile ago and had trouble loading the pages...but now I dont so I plan on playing here even when IYT comes back up - Thanks for the great site.
im also from iyt but i like pocketmonkey better cause im not limted on how many games or moves i can play
