We've suspended timeouts again because of the number of players affected by recent severe weather.
We realize that this is not an ideal way to handle this, and it's not how we intend handling it in the future. For one thing, it's arbitrary (we only do it when we know we have players in the region affected -- and we could be wrong, which is unfair to the players we leave out), and for another it's a big hammer, because it's an all-or-nothing solution (all timeouts disabled or none). We are looking at other ways to handle this that we hope and expect to have in place within the next few months, certainly before the next hurricane season in the Atlantic, although not necessarily before the next major earthquake in the middle east.
Please bear with us while the timeouts are turned off.
I see no problem with suspending time outs. There are so many ppl affected by what has been happening in the weather & that. I am glad to hear that ppl are safe & back. Keep up the good work TJ Carmel
I've re-enabled timeouts again and set each game to its full timeout; this means that (for instance) a 7-day game will have its "must move by" date set to seven days from today, not seven days from its last move.
Thank you for your patience while we try to make a minor gesture to those affected by this year's unusually bad storms, earthquakes, and other natural disasters.
