We had a system problem (caused by me, not by the system itself) which may have caused the email address on your account to be put back to an earlier version (if you've changed it in the past few weeks). Although very few of you will have been affected, I do ask that you all use the "Update your profile" link on the main page to double-check that your email address is correct, both in the "Email address" field and (if you have notifications turned on) in the notifications field further down. Remember when updating your profile that you must give your password in the "Old password" field, just to verify it's really you doing the update (not, for instance, someone else typing at your computer when you've stepped away for a moment).
It's actually a good idea that you double-check your address even if you haven't changed it lately. There are a lot of invalid email addresses on accounts (because people have made typos, not because of this issue today), so even if you haven't changed your address lately, please do go double-check it and make sure it's exactly as it should be. Every time the system goes to do notifications, there are dozens (maybe hundreds) of invalid addresses it has to contend with.
I'm sorry for the trouble; again, it was my fault that this happened, not a system issue -- is that more reassuring, or less? ;-)
Something I meant to mention in the above: If you're nervous about Pocket-Monkey having your email address, please refer to our Privacy Policy (the link's at the bottom of most of the pages in the site). The short version is that Pocket-Monkey will never intentionally give your email address to a third party without asking you for permission, except if required to do so by law enforcement, as part of a changeover of the business entity, or other similar situations -- e.g., we don't give it to other players, to advertisers, etc. (But this forum message is not the policy, just a summary; please see the policy itself.) -- T.J.
