I'm pleased to announce that over on our test server, the first test tournament has started and our loyal band of testers are playing head-to-head. (More about testing here.) This tourney doesn't count, of course, but we're finally to the point where we can test the new tournaments code!
It's early days yet, but it's going okay so far, and the testing in general has gone very well indeed although there's been a sharp drop in how quickly bugs are getting fixed because we've been focussing on getting the tournaments up and running. Now that they are, we'll be able to focus on fixing the remaining bugs (and the ones we find in tournaments) and getting this update ready for prime time.
I'm sure the testing will reveal at least one biggish flaw in the tournaments which will take time to fix, so I'm not going to give a time estimate for when we'll be able to bring the update live here on the real site. But we're making good progress now and we're probably only a few weeks away at this point.
i am sure i speak for many people when i say we appreciate the hard work,.. tons of time, heart and soul you pour into this site and the continued sharing of enjoyment to all.
Thank-you for all you do, and continue to do ,.. online gaming means alot to so many people, and people like you who make it possible mean even more..
The testing is actually going okay, just some issues to sort out and some shopping to do (for a new place to host; I had one lined up, but their feature set wasn't quite what I initially thought).
I don't do date predictions anymore, my workload and/or other aspects of life always get in the way when I do that. ;-) I really wish I could take PM on as my full-time job; who knows, maybe this is the year...
