Lots of people haven't been getting their email from Pocket-Monkey.com since the update, during which we also moved to new servers. There was an initial setup problem, but I couldn't understand why it was causing quite so much of a problem as it was and in any case I fixed it.
But I've found out what it is now: It happens that one of the new servers for the site has an IP address which was used by a spammer for a while back in March; and naturally I just happened to choose that server to do the mail for the site. So naturally a lot of spam filters were being fairly aggressive at filtering out our mail, given that before it was ours, that IP address was sending spam for a brief period. (Very brief, the hosting company shut them down very quickly.)
I've reconfigured things to use one of our other servers instead (since its address is clean), and mail seems to be going through now. I've also contacted the relevant spam blacklisters to say the IP address has a new owner (for all that's worth; they're notorious for being very slow to de-list people, but maybe I'll get a pleasant surprise).
I'm sorry for any hassle this has caused anyone. I've resent confirmation codes to anyone who signed up but hadn't confirmed their email; hopefully from now on new members (and members changing their email addresses) will get the confirmation messages.
