I'm about to go away for a week, and wanted to leave a few notes before going:
Timeouts
Game timeouts are turned off (see this thread) and will remain turned off for at least another 10 days or so (e.g., until the weekend after I get back). This is because we had them turned off while we were having trouble with the servers, and I can't turn them on again until I do some work in the tourneys stuff to handle it correctly when we have gaps like this.
Turn Notifications
Turn notifications are also turned off, so even if you have the "Yes, email me when it's my turn" option in your profile turned on, the site won't email you when it's your turn. Turn notifications were one of the performance issues we were having with the site (one of about four or five, the others are fixed). Also, many people -- including me! -- didn't like how they worked (they send you a lot of email), and so they're turned off until we can improve them, probably in about 10 days. The improved version will allow you to control how much email they send you (and will work in a way that doesn't cause performance issues on the site).
Jock Murphy
While I'm gone, our Founding Monkey Jock Murphy will be looking after things. Many of you know Jock (if you don't, read this), but we've had a lot of new members join since the last time he covered things, so I thought I should just mention that he'll be answering Contact Us messages, looking after the forums, etc.
Enjoy your games! And I'll see you in a week... -- T.J. Crowder First Primate Pocket-Monkey.com
Have a fun and safe break TJ, and welcome back Jock! ;D

enjoy your holiday (i hope its a holiday) good to see you have left the reins in capable hands (you JOCK M)come back refreshed and i hope your good lady Wendy is going with you as well
Hi every one. I think I can speak for everyone, when I wish TJ (and his lovely wife Wendy) a good vacation. In the mean time I will be around to water the plants and bring in the mail and generally looks after things.
So let's all have a good week, everyone play nice, and have a great time.
I am 1/4 Scottish. My mother's father's father was a Lockerbie. My mother's father's mother was a McEwan. Etc etc. That is just heritage. I was born and raised in San Fransico.
I'll bet he'll be back early cause he misses all the computers, and all that, it's addicting. But if he doesn't TJ enjoy your holidays, it's well deserved, and Jock don't let those plants die, like I do when I have to water my mom's, either feed them too much or starve them.
GO! GO and have a great well deserved vacation TJ and wife Wendy! Stay safe and know we all wish you well and pray for your safe return home! Welcome back Jock and please be careful not to over water those plants hehe I just know with you behind the wheel here, all will be just fine too :-)Sincerely, Rebee
Thank you everyone for the welcome backs. It isn't that I had gone anywhere but was just hiding. Wait...that actually isn't any better is it. Everything seems fine, and *touch wood* it will stay that way.
Yes, thank you everyone for all of your good wishes :-)
Wendy
