TJ in the longer matches like the 9`s, 11`s and 21`s why is it not possible to double a double, instead of playing for two points a double double would make the game worth 4 points. some sites i play on you can redouble the double to help make the longer games quicker. Just wonder why this site will not allow a redouble. you could maybe have some ultra quick tournie games with the redouble feature, just an idea, anyone else have an opinion?
After one player doubles, the other player controls the double cube. The scenario where I have been to 8 usually goes like this: I double relatively early in a game of a match where I am way behind -- let's say 4-0 in a 9 pointer. Luck isn't running my way, so the other player redoubles at some point because of the likely win. I figure my chances in the match are slim either way -- if I decline, it's now 8-0: not a good prospect; with even a 10% chance at this point (i.e., 10% chance of winning to make it 8-4 my way after I accept the double and redouble again on my next turn.) As for you Cath, I don't recall you doubling me any time recently. ;-)
You can double a double. Which is to say, the player with the cube can (the one who received the initial double). Players can keep doubling each other until it becomes irrelevant.
Once the cube is at the point where it becomes irrelevant, you can't double anymore. So if you're playing a 5-point match and the score is 3-3 and someone doubles, the other player won't be bothered with the roll/double question because there's no point -- whoever wins the game already wins enough points to win the match. So perhaps you're seeing that.
