If you're still having the problem with Pocket-Monkey being "unknown" or "not found" or "unresolvable", please drop us a note via the Contact Us link or post a note here. When doing so, please tell us whether you're using WebTV/MSNTV or a computer.
The company responsible for name resolution for Pocket-Monkey swears that all of their systems are (now) fully operational and that there isn't a problem at their end. In the previous thread on this, WebTV/MSNTV users said they were having this problem with other sites like Brainking and IYT and GoldToken, who don't use the same company for name resolution we use -- which suggests a WebTV/MSNTV problem. Apparently it's the same sort of symptom, which has lead the BrainKing folks to conclude that there is (or was) a problem with WebTV/MSNTV's DNS servers (which would be responsible for doing the lookups we're talking about).
I'm fairly sure there was a problem with Pocket-Monkey's name resolution and the company involved said it had issues with one of our two name servers on Friday and Saturday, but I think it may well be fixed now and that an unrelated, but very similar, problem is happening over at WebTV/MSNTV.
If you are still having trouble, you can use http://204.10.37.220 temporarily. If you do use it, please let us know whether it helps.
Okay, based on response to this (and the dramatic drop in Contact Us messages on this problem), I think that whatever the problem was (or problems were), it/they have been fixed. Seems like the main problem was the WebTV/MSNTV problem which they must have gotten sorted out, and that the problem our name resolution company had was relatively small and fixed fairly quickly.
