If you use Java and you're not seeing the nice, smooth graphics (from the update) or your Gomoku games look really messed up, it's because your Java installation is using the old graphics files (ones it has stored on your machine) when it should be using the new ones. This is a bug in the Java plug-in, it should see that the graphics files at our end have changed and use the new ones, but it doesn't. Sun's Java is actually astonishingly bad at noticing that things have changed. (We've worked around it for the applet itself [by renaming it whenever we change it], but we hadn't done this for the graphics files. I guess we'll need to do that.)
To fix the problem, follow the steps in this forum thread. That'll force Java to pick up the updated graphics.
If you're not using Java, you're not likely to run into this problem.
...AND there's a completely different problem which affects the DHTML (non-Java) users out there, but this one is our fault. I'm working on it, one mo'. -- T.J. Crowder First Primate Pocket-Monkey.com

Okay, the DHTML (non-Java) one is fixed. The Java one, of course, requires that you go through the steps listed at the top of this thread (if you're affected).

Yes, on the Connect6 thing, we'll be doing that at some point. We need to do something similar for Halma, too, so you can see the full path that your opponent took on their turn (rather than just where they ended up).

I've had a DHTML game user (e.g., non-Java user) say that her Gomoku boards were still messed up. If this happens to you, click the Refresh button on your browser. The browser should see our updated graphics automatically, but some browsers apparently miss it. Using the Refresh button tells the browser to forget about any copies of things it may have and to load things fresh from the site. (If the Refresh button doesn't do it and you're using Windows, try Ctrl+F5, which is a kind of mega-refresh.)
